This relaxed family photography session in my Lilydale studio was all about genuine connection, natural smiles and creating photographs this family will treasure for years to come.
It was such a pleasure welcoming this beautiful family into my Lilydale studio for their family photography session.
They brought along the newest member of the family too, an adorable little black puppy who definitely stole a few moments during the session. We photographed everyone together before capturing individual portraits, parent portraits and plenty of genuine moments between mum and her son.
Family photos don't have to be perfect
One of the biggest worries parents have before a session is whether everyone will smile at the camera at the same time.
The truth is, those aren't usually the photographs people treasure most.
The hugs between mum and her son, a quiet cuddle between parents or even the family gathered together with their new puppy often become the images that mean the most years later
